Janece Stone, Owner
Janece has always enjoyed anything creative and learned so much about interior design over the years while working in the construction industry with her husband, James. The inspiration for Sugarwood just seemed to grow out of a love for all things home interiors. Opening Sugarwood Interiors was a way to combine her educational background in art with her passion for creating beautiful home spaces. Building the site and structures became a family affair with their construction company, Stone Development & Restoration, as the development company. Janece based the look and feel on what speaks to her style. Sugarwood reflects a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. The offerings are beautiful with a casual feel and most importantly approachable. This experience has been the dream of a lifetime for Janece and everything that she has hoped it would be.
Jessica Beckerich, Designer
Born and raised in Washington State, Jessica Beckerich discovered her passion for design early on, leading her to pursue formal education at a prestigious design school in Chicago, IL. After honing her skills in the classroom, she launched her career in the dynamic world of multi-family renovation and design, spending a decade managing projects across Texas, Florida, and Georgia. Seeking a more personalized approach to design, Jessica transitioned into residential interiors upon moving to Wilmington, NC. There, she expanded her expertise by not only decorating homes but also building multiple properties alongside her husband. Her hands-on experience in construction and design naturally led her to work directly with a custom home builder, where she guided homeowners through the entire process—from pre-construction space planning to selecting the perfect materials and finishes. With a deep understanding of both the creative and structural aspects of home design, Jessica continues to bring timeless, functional, and beautifully curated spaces to life for her clients.
Erin England, Designer
Erin England designs timeless and seemingly “effortless” homes, shaped with intention and meant to be lived in. Her work balances classic European influence with a relaxed coastal sensibility and is defined by warmth, texture, and restraint.
With a background in interior design and years spent studying and living abroad, Erin brings a highly considered approach to her projects. From beginning to end, through the architectural, material, and finish decisions, Erin designs custom homes that are charming and beautiful, personal and enduring. Her work reflects a deep understanding of both structure and styling, where bespoke detail is integral to the overall design.
At Sugarwood Interiors, Erin plays a central role in showroom staging and styling, product curation and sourcing, while working directly with design clients.
Rylee Beasley, Sales Associate
Rylee is from Richmond, Virginia and is currently a senior at UNCW studying Marketing Strategy with a minor in Leadership Studies. She has always had a passion for design, inspired by her mom and her love for the little details that make a space feel complete. She is especially drawn to the intersection of design and marketing and how the two work together to tell a compelling story. She loves living in Wilmington, NC and spending time at the beach whenever she can. Outside of school, she can usually be found with a coffee in hand, doing Pilates, or hanging out with friends.
Carly Anderson, Designer
Carly grew up in Indiana before following her love for coastal interior design to the coast of North Carolina. She graduated from Liberty University in the spring of 2023 with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship and continued her education by completing a design course through the Interior Design Institute, blending a strong business foundation with a creative eye for interiors.
With a passion for thoughtful design and helping clients feel truly at home, Carly is drawn to creating spaces that feel inviting, intentional, and personal. At Sugarwood Interiors, she enjoys working closely with clients to bring their vision to life, guiding them through selections that make their homes both beautiful and livable.
