Simple Holiday Decorating Tips
Decorating for the holidays should be fun and simple! Evan Gray with Sugarwood Interiors is sharing a few tips on decorating your home for the holidays!
▹ Get thrifty. You don’t have to break the bank when decorating your home for the holidays. Get creative and use things you already have! Recreate & repurpose!
▹ Establish your theme/color palette. As much as I love neutrals… I love to see vibrate oranges and golden yellows this time of the year. Don’t be afraid to use bold colors! Make a statement!
▹ Incorporate natural elements in your home. Fall is the perfect time to incorporate all things natural. Get outside and clip some fresh greenery and use it on your table or simply just pop some in a vase around the house!
▹ Layer objects and use tons of texture. Whether it be creating a tablescape or a vignette in your home, layer objects and use different textures to create interest!
▹ Do the unexpected. When hosting a dinner party, customize each place setting by providing your guest with something they can take home with them to remember your party.
▹ Most importantly when you’re decorating your home and hosting family and friends this season, remember it shouldn’t be stressful! Plan ahead! Write out your menu and decorate your table days in advance! This gives you time to make sure everything is spot on!
